Privacy notice
HVAC PageFix is an independent HVAC website-copy service. It collects only the information reasonably needed to conduct limited permission-first business-to-business outreach, answer an inquiry, confirm fit, fulfill an accepted copy order, deliver files, handle a revision, and maintain basic business records. The legal seller and data-handling business for prospect, inquiry, and order information is Christopher Buchner.
Information collected
Inquiry and order information can include a contact name, business email, business phone, company name, website URL, primary market, services, current website copy, public proof or source material, approved claims, requested changes, and our email history. Operational records can include order status, delivery and revision times, file names and integrity hashes, payment status, invoice or transaction reference, and suppression or opt-out status.
Do not send customer lists, private homeowner information, passwords, card numbers, bank credentials, government identifiers, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive data. The seller does not need access to a customer’s website, hosting, inbox, CRM, or payment account.
Prospect information and public sources
For the limited permission-first pilot, the seller may record a company name, public business phone and email, website URL, service market, publicly displayed business facts, and a specific visible website-copy issue. This information comes from public company websites and other public business sources; it is not bought as a bulk consumer list. A public email address is not treated as permission. The information is used to assess relevance, prepare one manual permission question, record the answer, and send one clearly fictional sample only when the website decision-maker explicitly requests it. The seller does not use an unsolicited email sequence or unrequested follow-up, and it prevents further sales or marketing contact after any stop request, opt-out, complaint, permanent bounce, or other suppression record.
How information is used
Information is used for the limited prospect research described above, to place a permission-only business call, send one requested sample, respond to a request, evaluate fit, prepare a pre-acceptance order preview and order-specific commercial invoice, verify payment status, create and deliver the purchased copy, perform quality checks, handle the included revision, prevent repeated outreach after an opt-out, maintain financial and service records, resolve a dispute, and meet applicable obligations.
No payment is accepted on this site and there is no reusable checkout link. Any later order-specific invoice remains locked until the customer sends an inbound written purchase-details request, the seller confirms fit and capacity, sends a customer-specific no-payment preview, and records the exact Terms acceptance identified in that preview.
Payments and service providers
Card and payout information is handled by the owner’s selected payment provider under that provider’s privacy and security terms; the seller does not request card details by email or store them in its work files. Limited information may also be processed by email, website-hosting, document, storage, and other service providers used to operate the business. Information is not sold or rented.
Website data and tracking
The hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the site. Optional Google Analytics 4 is completely blocked by default: no Google Analytics tag, request, or analytics cookie is allowed until a visitor selects “Allow analytics.” Declining is equally available, and the choice is stored in this browser so the site does not repeatedly ask.
After opt-in, Google LLC may process page views, scroll depth, and downloads of the public fictional sample so the seller can understand whether this site is useful. Automatic outbound-click, form, site-search, and video tracking are disabled. The tag strips query strings and fragments from the page location it sends, does not use User-ID, and is configured not to send names, email addresses, request text, Google Signals, advertising storage, or advertising-personalization signals. Do not put personal information in this site’s URL.
If allowed, Google Analytics can set first-party cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish browsers and measure aggregate site use. Google configures these cookies to expire after up to two years, subject to renewal, deletion, browser controls, and Google’s service behavior. Event- and user-level Analytics data for this property are both set to the shortest available two-month retention period. Google may process information in the United States and other locations under its terms and privacy safeguards. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
The “Privacy choices” control remains available on every page. A visitor can use it to allow analytics, keep analytics off, or withdraw a prior opt-in. Withdrawal disables future Analytics calls, removes the site’s accessible _ga cookies, and reloads the page without the Google tag. This site also treats an enabled Global Privacy Control signal as a rejection of optional analytics, even when an older stored preference said otherwise.
Retention and safeguards
Inquiry records are retained only as long as reasonably useful for the request, opt-out, dispute, and business-record purposes. Paid-order, payment-status, delivery, and tax-related records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or required. Access is limited to the people and providers needed to perform the service. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Choices and contact
Website analytics consent is separate from email preferences. A prospect can stop marketing email by replying “unsubscribe” or with any clear opt-out request; the address is then retained on a suppression list so it is not contacted again. The reply channel remains monitored for at least 30 days after the last requested sample or other permitted marketing message. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of other information, contact chris@hvacpagefix.com. Some records may be retained when reasonably necessary for payment, tax, security, suppression, dispute, or legal purposes.
The seller postal address for business and commercial-email records is not configured for this no-payment site. Commercial marketing email is disabled until a valid postal address is configured. No payment is accepted on this site. The separate invoice and payment gates must pass before either path is enabled.
Children and updates
This business-to-business service is not directed to children. This notice may be updated as the operation and providers change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
